Nikon D3X Body

         Secara sepintas fisik yang terlihat pada kamera D3X sebagai andalan baru Nikon ini tampak sebagai kamera yang kembar identik dengan D3S. Semua yang nampak seperti body, kontrol, user interface (antarmuka pengguna) dan juga sebagian jeroan elektronik dan mekanik dari kamera D3X ini sama dengan D3S. Namun seberapa pun miripnya kedua kamera ini D3X adalah sebuah merek baru. Dengan mengusung sensor 36x23,9mm CMOS memberikan resolusi

24,5 megapixel dan merupakan lompatan yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan D3S yang hanya mengusung resolusi 12,1 megapixel. namun pengguna D3x harus menerima rentang sensitivitas ISO yang lebih kecil (ISO 100-1600 hingga ISO 50-6400) dan juga harus menerima shutter speed yang lebih lambat untuk pengambilan gambar secara continyu dari 5 fps (7 fps dalam DX mode) sebagai kompensasinya.
